Canton Junction

Call it a Quartet!

You can call it a quartet, because Canton Junction indeed consists of four-part-harmony. But this vocal group represents far more than the sum of four well-sung parts. Collectively, there are decades of experience among them, along with Singing News Fan Awards, GMA Dove Awards, Grammy nominations and other honors. Yet accolades are not what drew these four men together. It was their shared love for communicating the music and message of Jesus.

About Canton Junction

The group’s name, Canton Junction, literally means “the crossroads of different subjects or regions into one gathering point.” That definition perfectly describes exactly what happened when these four musical forces collided. Casey Rivers, Tim Duncan, Matthew Hagee and Ryan Seaton are four very different individuals who come from varying musical backgrounds and geographic locations, yet the moment they sing together they stand on common ground.

The group’s musical style is also representative of many roads merging into one. The influences you will hear range from timeless hymns, to the Eagles... from southern gospel to big band. Among the group’s repertoire are time-tested songs of the church, fresh new songs written out of their own experiences, as well as new takes on familiar classics.

Good things came together when these four began singing and good things are to come from this highly acclaimed southern gospel quartet.

Casey Rivers
Lead singer Casey Rivers, not only has the downhome spirit of a Texan, but has the voice to match. Born and raised in Lindale , TX , he and his beautiful wife, Doni, and their 3 children now reside in Dallas, TX. Casey has appeared with such country legends as Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, Neal McCoy, Sara Evans, Jason Aldean, Big and Rich, and the Gatlin Brothers, to name a few. Casey has performed on the Grand Ole Opry Stage, was runner up on Season 4 of the popular singing competition Nashville Star and, in 2008, Casey joined and toured with successful Christian music group, Beyond the Ashes. While enjoying his successes, Casey’s number one priority is and always will be sharing his Texas-sized heart for ministry through his vocal talent and musicianship.

Tim Duncan
Bass singer, Tim Duncan, is a self-described "quartet man" and he has fans across the globe who agree, evidenced by the Singing News Fan Award for Best Bass he was awarded the first year he was nominated (2006). As one of the original four members of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, he has been a part of numerous Billboard-topping albums and DVDs, Dove Award honors and Grammy nominations. In 2011, Tim released his first solo album paying tribute to some of his own musical heroes such as J.D. Sumner, Tim Riley, London Paris, George Younce and Rusty Goodman. Tim’s astonishing vocal range and captivating live performances are impressive in their own right, but it’s his passion for ministering and his genuine love of people that has endeared fans for the last 20 years.

Matthew Hagee
Tenor, Matthew Hagee, carries on a six-generation legacy of ministry working alongside his father, John Hagee, founding pastor of Cornerstone Church. He grew up singing around the piano with his family and draws from all varieties of musical influences ranging all the way from big band to bluegrass. A graduate of Oral Roberts University School of Business, he is a gifted speaker, accomplished vocalist and the author of “Shaken, Not Shattered” and “Response-Able” (both published by Strang Communications). Matthew is also a true Texan, easily as comfortable trading horses and cattle as he is on a platform.

Ryan Seaton
Ryan Seaton, Baritone, started his career with great success as the lead singer for Ernie Haas and Signature Sound from 2003 to 2009. During Ryan’s tenure with the group, EHSS received a GRAMMY® Award nomination and three Dove Awards. Seaton’s 2010 solo debut, The Stage Is Bare, garnered two Dove Award nominations followed by the release of his critically acclaimed follow-up recording, Prisoner of Hope, in 2013. Ryan’s love of music goes deep, but his passion for sharing the love of Jesus goes deeper and is, no doubt, the reason for his continued achievements in music and ministry.
